Bristol Festival of Ideas: Festival of Economics 2016
In the fifth Festival of Economics (Tue 15 – Sat 19 November 2016), programmed by Diane Coyle (University of Manchester and Enlightenment Economics), economists and other experts from around the world will be debating with each other – and their audiences – some of the key economic questions of our time.
The festival aims to provoke wider learning and debate about economics – so critical to the lives of everyone. We look at basic income, happiness and economics, the global economy and the economic policy process. Below is a selection of this year’s programme. Online booking is now open for all events (in-person sales at the venue At-Bristol will open Mon 15 August).
We are grateful to Arts Council England, Bristol City Council, Business West, Economics Network, ESRC, Government Economics Service, Institute for Policy Research University of Bath, Princeton University Press, Royal Economic Society, University of Bristol and University of the West of England for their support for the festival.
